Job summary

Proenergy is seeking a Design Liaison Engineer to bridge design concepts and manufacturing execution. You will coordinate with engineering and production to ensure designs meet specifications and manufacturing capabilities, from prototype to production.

You will troubleshoot issues, provide technical shop-floor support, and drive process improvements while ensuring quality and timely delivery. A bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years in a related role are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in a liaison or design engineering role in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management.
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and basic design analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across teams and with production.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure designs align with shop capabilities.
• Act as liaison between design team and production floor on technical requirements.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues during manufacturing with engineering and shop floor teams.
• Provide technical support to production ensuring designs meet specs, quality, and schedules.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and feed back to design and production teams.
• Assist with creating technical documents and work orders to support manufacturing.
