Job summary

Keel is seeking a Liaison Engineer to bridge design engineering, manufacturing operations, and external suppliers. You will ensure engineering intent translates to manufacturable, quality solutions on the shop floor while maintaining production flow and compliance.

Responsibilities include MRB and ECR processes, on-the-floor troubleshooting, and driving DFM improvements with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable production outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Dispositions MRB: evaluate deviations and authorize use-as-is, repair, or scrap decisions.
• Engineering Change Requests: identify design errors and draft design/manufacturing changes for approval.
• Real-time on-the-floor troubleshooting to prevent line stoppages.
• Design for Manufacturability feedback to design teams for improvements.
• Interpret complex drawings, schematics, and specs for shop personnel.
• Coordinate with suppliers when materials or components deviate from specs.
• Collaborate on automation and robotics across the shop floor.
• Other related duties as assigned.
