Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Liability Claim Representative II to handle property damage and low‑to‑mid range bodily injury claims. The role involves investigating and adjusting claims, directing vendors, and coordinating with carriers and legal teams.

The candidate should have at least two years of casualty claims experience or a relevant degree, with licenses considered a plus. This is a full‑time, on‑site position with opportunities for growth within Risk Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in casualty claims.
• Two+ years of casualty claims experience.
• Licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts claims, directs independent adjusters, vendors, and experts.
• Interacts with field management, legal counsel, safety managers, customers, insurers, and third party claimants.
• Manages litigation per jurisdiction and coordinates with outside counsel.
• Assists Claim Manager in identifying exposures and recommending solutions.
• Manages indemnity and expense costs and sets reserves accordingly.
• Interacts with primary and excess carriers and reinsurers on files.
• Alerts Claim Manager to changes in laws impacting Ryder's liability program.
• Updates field personnel on claim status when requested.
