Job summary

Top Notch Computers is seeking a Level 2 IT Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Charlottesville, VA. You will handle escalated technical issues and provide hands-on support for workstations, servers, and network devices.

Responsibilities include monitoring client environments, resolving incidents, managing user accounts, backups, and security tools, while documenting resolutions and communicating with clients to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and user issues.
Solid IT knowledge including OS, servers, cloud, and business apps.
Networking: switches, routers, wireless, WAN/LAN management.
Network security: firewalls, endpoint protection, patching.
Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) beneficial.
Strong communication, documentation, and customer service skills.
Associate or Bachelor's in IT/CS or equivalent experience preferred.
