Job summary

Open Systems Technologies seeks a Technology Learning and Development Specialist in New York to drive the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technology training across the firm. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 3–5 years relevant experience preferred in a professional services environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Solid grasp of adult learning principles and adapting training approaches to diverse learners.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and growth mindset with openness to new technologies.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and translate technical concepts into practical training.
• Energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic about driving user engagement and change.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Hands-on experience with NetDocuments, Litera Create, and NTD is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of AI tools and time-entry programs (e.g., iTimekeep) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of macOS and iPhone is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and e-learning tools (e.g., Camtasia) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with International Practice and APO requirements is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Technology Training Supervisor to continuously improve training programs, methodologies, and learning experiences.
• Coordinate and ensure effective new hire technology orientation sessions across all offices.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training on firm systems, desktop apps, financial tools, and practice group technologies.
• Champion adoption of new technologies through engaging training and demonstrate value to increase engagement.
• Provide legal document support to various departments.
• Create instructor notes and training materials; plan, schedule, gather resources, and evaluate training.
• Prepare quick reference guides, manuals, tip sheets, and asynchronous resources.
• Collaborate with department leaders to assess training needs and design customized learning solutions.
• In partnership with IT, troubleshoot legal and support applications and provide user support across Windows, Office, DMS, CRM, and other tools.
• Offer on-demand, remote/virtual, or in-person desk-side training as needed.
