The ideal candidate has 3+ years of legal billing experience, proficiency with e-billing platforms, and strong Excel skills. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment.
• Knowledge of legal billing procedures, e-billing platforms, and client billing guidelines.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete billing process for assigned attorneys and practice groups.
• Review, edit, and finalize prebills based on attorney feedback.
• Generate and distribute accurate monthly client invoices.
• Submit and manage electronic billing through client e-billing platforms.
• Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and outside counsel requirements.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and billing inquiries.
• Process billing adjustments, write-offs, credits, and transfers as needed.
• Maintain accurate billing records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and accounting staff to meet billing deadlines.
• Prepare billing reports and assist with month-end accounting activities.
• Support process improvements and special projects as assigned.
