Genie Matthews and Associates seeks an experienced Billing Manager to oversee legal billing workflows following an Aderant implementation. This onsite role combines hands-on billing with team leadership, training, and process improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong Aderant expertise, billing management experience, and the ability to resolve issues quickly. Starting ASAP, the position is onsite in Downtown Chicago with potential hybrid flexibility after training.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience with hands-on Aderant proficiency.
• 2–3 years of Aderant experience preferred.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, LEDES 1998B.
• Prior billing management or team-lead experience preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot and train others.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.
• Available to start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance to billing team.
• Train colleagues on Aderant and resolve workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills per requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and rejected invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys and accounting to bill on time.
• Strengthen billing processes after Aderant implementation.
