Job summary

  • 2+ years of people management or supervisory experience.
  • Law firm billing experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal billing practices, accounting principles, and financial regulations.
  • Experience with eBilling systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily billing activities to ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Supervise, train, develop, and evaluate a team of billing specialists.
  • Partner with attorneys, clients, and support staff to resolve billing discrepancies and account issues.
  • Work with the Office of General Counsel to ensure compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Manage the firm’s eBilling hub and billing software, including maintaining accurate rates and client-specific billing instructions.
  • Prepare monthly prebills and develop billing reports and audit processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper expense coding and coordinate with Accounting on appropriate allocation within the firm’s accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with firm policies, legal requirements, and applicable billing regulations.
