Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking an experienced Billing Manager in downtown Chicago to oversee legal billing following the firm's Aderant implementation. The role blends hands-on billing with team guidance and training.

The position requires strong Aderant proficiency, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to resolve billing issues while ensuring timely client invoicing. Onsite training is preferred, with hybrid or remote consideration for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience and hands-on Aderant proficiency.
• Experience supervising or leading a billing team is preferred.
• Experience with eBilling and LEDES 1998B is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to billing team members.
• Help train colleagues on Aderant and resolve billing workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills in accordance with client billing requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, electronic submission issues, and rejected invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys, accounting staff, and other internal stakeholders to complete billing accurately and on time.
• Help the team strengthen billing processes following the Aderant implementation.
