Hire Consulting Services is seeking a Billing Manager in Downtown Chicago to oversee legal billing following an Aderant rollout. The role combines hands-on billing with team guidance and training.

The ideal candidate has strong legal billing experience, is proficient in Aderant, and can resolve billing issues while ensuring timely client invoicing. This is a temporary engagement with potential temp-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience and hands-on Aderant proficiency required.
• Ideally at least two to three years of Aderant experience.
• Experience with eBilling, BillBlast, and LEDES 1998B electronic billing files.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to billing team members.
• Help train colleagues on Aderant and resolve billing workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills in accordance with client billing requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, electronic submission issues, and rejected invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys, accounting staff, and other internal stakeholders to complete billing accurately and on time.
• Help the team strengthen billing processes following the Aderant implementation.
