Job summary

KLA Industries, Inc. in Chicago seeks an experienced Legal Billing Manager to provide immediate hands-on support after the firm’s Aderant implementation. The role blends billing with team guidance, troubleshooting, and training.

Onsite during initial training with potential hybrid flexibility; strong Aderant & eBilling knowledge preferred. The position offers temporary status with possible temp-to-hire and hourly compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Strong legal billing experience with hands-on Aderant proficiency.
• 2–3 years of Aderant experience preferred.
• Experience with eBilling and LEDES 1998B files.
• Prior billing management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and train others.
• Excellent attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned legal billing work accurately and independently.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to billing team members.
• Help train colleagues on Aderant and resolve billing workflow questions.
• Prepare, review, and process client bills per client requirements.
• Support electronic billing, including BillBlast and LEDES 1998B files.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and rejected invoices.
• Coordinate with attorneys and accounting to ensure timely billing.
• Strengthen billing processes following the Aderant implementation.
