Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte, a leading global law firm, seeks a Knowledge & Innovation Counsel to advance AI-enabled knowledge management across assigned practice groups. You will combine knowledge assets, solution design, user enablement, and hands-on support to drive adoption and measurable impact.

The role partners with the Applied AI team, mentors junior attorneys, curates precedents, and guides attorneys on AI tools for each stage of a matter. JD and 6+ years KM/PM experience required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited university.
• Demonstrated interest in and working familiarity with the firm’s AI platforms and how they apply to legal work in the practice area.
• Experience or aptitude structuring and curating legal knowledge and work product for AI use.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact within one or more assigned practice groups.
• Guide attorneys on which AI tools and technology solutions are best suited to different stages of matters.
• Translate practice group needs into prompts, agents, and workflows for AI support.
• Lead training sessions on AI tools and knowledge management for the group.
