Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a Knowledge & Innovation Counsel to advance AI and legal technology within one or more practice groups. You will serve as the primary contact for knowledge initiatives, curate precedents, train attorneys, and partner with the Applied AI team to deploy practical solutions.

The role requires a JD with at least six years of experience in law or knowledge management, familiarity with AI platforms, and a track record leading innovative projects.

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school.
6+ years of practice or knowledge-management experience.
Experience applying AI to legal work.
Ability to translate practice needs into technical requirements.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary contact for knowledge initiatives within one or more practice groups.
Guide attorneys on AI tools across matter lifecycles.
Customize prompts and workflows for practical use.
Lead training sessions on AI tools and knowledge management.
Develop precedents, playbooks, and institutional knowledge.
Monitor AI developments and drive adoption.
Collaborate with global offices and support outside US hours.
