Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Leave of Absence (LOA) Specialist in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. This on-site, full-time role requires managing high-volume LOA cases and ensuring regulatory compliance across FMLA, CFRA, and ADA while maintaining strong employee support and documentation.

Ideal candidates have healthcare or non-profit background, sharp analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of leave processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years managing end-to-end LOA cases in high-volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA and related regulations.
• Experience in healthcare or non-profit sectors preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high volume of leave cases from start to finish.
• Administer and track leave requests in compliance with FMLA/CFRA/ADA.
• Conduct eligibility reviews and determine qualifying leave status.
• Coordinate ADA accommodations when applicable.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and correspondence.
• Communicate with employees, managers, providers, and third parties.
• Monitor leave usage, return-to-work dates, and required docs.
• Ensure timely follow-up and milestone tracking.
• Provide guidance on leave policies and employee rights.
• Collaborate with HR/Payroll/Benefits/management.
