Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist to lead all aspects of LOA and accommodation processes. This role supports compliance with FMLA, ADA, and related laws while partnering with benefits teams and LOA administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience in associate leave, accommodations, or related HR.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local leave and accommodation laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with associates at all levels.
• Solid conflict resolution and mediation abilities; impartial and objective.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead LOA and accommodation processes to ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other laws.
• Partner with benefits team and third-party LOA administrator to manage leaves.
• Assist in interactive process for accommodations and facilitate discussions.
• Conduct education and training sessions on leave policies and accommodation procedures.
• Analyze leave and accommodation data to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Support associates and managers through return-to-work and accommodation processes.
