Meritum Energy Holdings is seeking an HR Generalist - Leave & Accommodations to administer leaves of absence, FMLA, ADA accommodations, return-to-work processes, and benefits across multi-state operations. You will partner with Safety, Payroll, and HR leadership to ensure compliant, compassionate handling of leave cases.

The role requires strong judgment, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, while collaborating with your colleagues and our benefits broker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of HR experience with leaves, ADA accommodations, and benefits administration.
• Hands-on experience administering leaves of absence and FMLA.
• Knowledge of ADA accommodations and the interactive process.
• Experience with benefits plans and HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the employee leave process from notification through return to work, including FMLA, medical, personal, parental, military, and other leaves.
• Determine FMLA eligibility and provide notices, forms, certifications, and communications within deadlines.
• Track FMLA usage and maintain leave balances and documentation.
• Coordinate with Payroll and Benefits on leave, PTO, benefit continuation, and premium obligations.
• Serve as primary HR contact for ADA/workplace accommodation requests and manage interactive process.
• Coordinate return-to-work processes and review fitness-for-duty documentation and restrictions.
• Provide guidance to managers on attendance, policy violations, and corrective action.
• Maintain confidential medical and leave records and monitor compliance with laws.
