Job summary

Optima Medical Management Group in San Diego seeks an HR Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support, focusing on leaves of absence, employee separations, and workplace accommodations. This role ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws while maintaining accurate HR records.

You will administer FMLA/CFRA, coordinate return-to-work, support onboarding and training, and collaborate with managers to improve the employee experience across Serene Health and related divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field and 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and state leave rules (CA, AZ, IL, GA).
• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll/benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee leave and accommodation programs (FMLA, CFRA, ADA).
• Coordinate return-to-work activities and workplace accommodations.
• Manage employee separations and ensure compliance with laws.
• Support onboarding, training, and HR policy communications.
