Job summary

Freeman Webb is seeking a property management professional to join our Nashville team as a leasing/Resident services specialist. You will guide prospects through model apartments, explain lease terms, collect deposits, and coordinate maintenance to uphold community standards.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, effective communication, and adherence to fair housing laws, with opportunities to grow through training and regular team meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to generate reports and business correspondence; effective presentation of information.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with prospective Residents requiring information and with current Residents with complaints or problems.
• Develops and maintains Resident relations through on-site personnel, maintenance responsiveness, newsletters, and knowledge of community policies.
• Learn to develop professional sales techniques.
• Accompanies prospects to model apartments and discusses lease terms and facilities.
• Makes follow-up calls to prospective Residents who did not apply.
• Completes lease forms and collects rental deposits.
• Inspects model units daily and arranges for maintenance.
• Maintains listings of available rental units and assists with newspaper advertisements.
• Contacts credit bureaus, previous landlords, and prospective Residents' employment history.
• Substitutes for Assistant Manager when absent.
• Adheres to all fair housing laws.
• Attend regular staff, management, and department meetings; update weekly work orders; pursue ongoing training.
