Job summary

Freeman Webb is seeking a property manager to show and lease apartments, handle resident relations, and coordinate on-site operations. The role includes processing leases, maintaining listings, and assisting with advertising and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; or six months to one year related experience.
• Ability to generate reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; present information to clients and the public; bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with prospective Residents seeking information and current Residents with complaints or problems.
• Develops and maintains Resident relations through on-site personnel, prompt maintenance, newsletters, and knowledge of policies.
• Learn to develop professional sales techniques.
• Accompanies prospects to model apartments, discusses size/layout and facilities, and lease terms.
• Makes follow-up calls to prospective Residents who did not fill out an application.
• Completes lease forms and collects deposits.
• Inspects model condition daily and arranges maintenance.
• Compiles and updates listings of available units.
• Assists with newspaper advertisements.
• Contacts credit bureau, previous landlord, and employment history of prospects.
• Substitutes for Assistant Manager when absent.
• Adheres to fair housing laws.
