Job summary

Valiant Residential in Dallas is seeking a Leasing Consultant who handles leasing, retention, and occupancy for the community while promoting resident satisfaction. You will create a lasting impression on visitors, prospects, and residents through a customer service focus.

Greet prospects, prepare move-in packages, and input data into the Yardi System; process applications and deposits per procedures and Fair Housing requirements. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience working with the public and/or sales.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Fair Housing Certification, or willingness to obtain before interacting with prospective residents.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions, utilize completed guest cards, etc.).
• Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on appropriate reports and maintain guest cards.
• Inspect models and available “market ready” units; communicate related service needs to the Community Manager.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit.
• Update the availability report and process applications for approval.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Monitor advertising effectiveness and file information about market competition.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
• Accept rental payments and forward to the Assistant Community Manager.
• Input lease information into the Yardi System accurately and on time.
• Assist management with other tasks as required.
• Consistently implement community policies.
