Job summary

Chamberlin + Associates in Tempe, AZ seeks a Leasing Specialist to drive occupancy and deliver an exceptional prospect and resident experience. You’ll handle the full leasing cycle from inquiry to move-in, conduct discovery conversations, present homes, and guide applicants through the process—all while ensuring Fair Housing compliance and high community standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including email, MS Office, and property management software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 1+ years of sales or customer-facing experience.
• Familiarity with Yardi/RealPage or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of basic fair housing principles.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
• Conduct engaging, tailored property tours that connect needs to features and units.
• Follow up consistently with prospects to maintain momentum and close leases.
• Meet or exceed monthly leasing goals including traffic-to-lease conversions.
• Accurately prepare and execute lease agreements, addenda, and move-in docs.
• Maintain accurate prospect and applicant records in property management software.
• Process rental applications, screen applicants, and communicate decisions per policy.
• Support resident move-ins by ensuring units are ready and oriented to the community.
• Assist in planning resident events and contribute to retention initiatives.
