Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive leasing, marketing, and resident relations at our community. You will greet prospects, present models, qualify leads, and guide applicants through the rental process with professionalism and a focus on service.

The role requires 2+ years of sales or customer relations experience, knowledge of Yardi Voyager, and a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desired to support diverse residents and employees.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge, Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment/model features to prospect needs and close the sale.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit according to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up on prospects that did not close and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure new resident signatures and orient new residents to the community.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Type leases and input information into the Yardi system accurately.
• Maintain resident files and distribute notices.
• Maintain monthly commission records for leases and renewals for bonus purposes.
