Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to lease, market, and maintain positive resident relations within the community. The role requires professionalism and engagement with residents and staff, with responsibilities spanning greeting prospects, processing applications, and coordinating move-ins.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in sales or customer relations, are bilingual in English and Spanish, and are familiar with Yardi Voyager; strong computer skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired
• Solid computer knowledge (Windows, Word, Excel, e-mail)
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and available units, communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to prospect needs; close the sale.
• Have prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per company procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update availability report and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up on prospects who did not close and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure new resident signatures on paperwork and orient new residents to the community.
• Assist in monitoring renewals and distribute renewal notices.
• Type lease and input information into Yardi; maintain current resident files.
• Distribute notices; maintain monthly commission records for bonuses.
• Assist management with various tasks; enforce community policies.
• Participate in resident events and host as directed by Community Manager.
• Adhere to Fair Housing, ADA, and all laws pertaining to the apartment industry.
• Manage compliance file maintenance under Compliance dept and Community Manager.
