Job summary

Atlantic Pacific Companies seeks an experienced Leasing Consultant for its 252-unit Affordable Community in Glenn Dale, Maryland. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with full-time status. The role focuses on leasing, resident relations, and applying HUD/LIHTC guidelines.

Responsibilities include showing the property, explaining the application process, preparing move-in packets, and handling screening and lease signings. Weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1–2 years related experience in residential services, customer service, or sales.
• 1 year of LIHTC/affordable housing experience.
• Experience with marketing, sales and customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Occasional weekend office coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, provide leasing information, schedule tours, take maintenance requests.
• Welcome prospects, explain the application process, and prepare move-in packets.
• Explain gate codes, leases, policies; verify move-in inventory signatures.
• Handle resident service requests and concerns, draft letters with approval.
• Screen applications, sign leases, collect rents per HUD/LIHTC rules, keep office tidy.
