Job summary

University Partners is seeking a Leasing Consultant to interface with prospective residents, handle day-to-day resident issues, and coordinate lease renewals in a competitive market. Training focuses on Fair Housing, closing techniques, and overcoming objections.

The role offers annual compensation between $20,000 and $30,000, plus eligibility for property bonuses. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and EAP.

Qualifications

• Professional and enthusiastic demeanor from sales, leasing, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Ability to communicate benefits of the apartment community to students, parents, and University personnel.
• Excellent customer service, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Ability to read and understand lease documents.
• Effective team player and interacts well with others.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure.
• Able to work weekends or overtime as job requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, prospects, and visitors.
• Lease apartments to meet occupancy goals.
• Follow Fair Housing Standards in all dealings.
• Conduct outside marketing under supervision.
• Process applications including credit and income verifications and background checks.
• Complete lease paperwork and files with signatures.
• Ensure move-in condition and final inspection.
• Manage renewals and lease documents.
• Assist with daily leasing office operations.
• Maintain guest cards and leasing notebook, follow up with leads.
