Job summary

Cardinal Group in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high-quality customer service to residents and prospective tenants. The LCI will support leasing activities, strive for 100% occupancy through retention and pre-leasing, and participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing training.

Responsibilities include front desk tasks, greeting prospects, handling calls, presenting the community, processing lease paperwork, and assisting with events and on-call

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college/university.
• Minimum 2.5 GPA; GPA verified annually.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder and live on designated community floor.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Available to work ~20 hours/week, including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Perform administrative front desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Greet prospects, answer leasing calls, determine needs, and present the community.
• Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
• Pass third-party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain lease file documentation and assist with audits.
• Maintain a clean tour path and present a positive image.
• Assist with planning community events and other projects.
• Engage in Cardinal U training and be on-call as needed.
