Job summary

The Gene B. Glick Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for Briarwood Toledo, a 200-unit apartment community. You will assist the Property Manager to ensure strong cash flow, proper maintenance, and high resident satisfaction, stepping in when the Property Manager is absent.

Responsibilities include resident communication, tours, move-ins/outs, rent collection, and HUD/Fair Housing compliance. A high school diploma and property management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
• Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to resident and prospect inquiries by phone and email.
• Follow up with prospects to schedule tours and secure applications.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
• Greet prospects, tour units, explain terms, and highlight amenities.
• Close sales, collect deposits, and process applications or waiting lists.
• Follow up with non-leased prospects to complete the sale.
• Verify eligibility of residents per government regulations.
• Assist with marketing surveys.
• Pursue and collect rent; help with delinquencies and filings.
• Investigate complaints and resolve issues per rules.
• Prepare records, reports, and documents; maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate information with other departments and HUD/Fair Housing compliance.
