Job summary

Gene B. Glick Company is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for our 200-unit Carriage House Virginia Beach community. The role assists the Property Manager to maintain cash flow, ensure property standards, and deliver resident satisfaction, including managing the property in the manager’s absence.

The position requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to travel for training. Spanish language skills are a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
• Able to work weekends.
• Willingness to travel for training and meetings.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promptly answer telephone and email inquiries from residents and prospective residents.
• Follow-up on emails from prospective residents to schedule tours.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
• Greet prospective residents, tour model/vacant units, and explain occupancy terms and local amenities.
• Close the sale with prospective residents and process deposits and applications.
• Follow up with non-leased prospects to secure a lease.
• Determine eligibility of prospective residents per regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with marketing surveys.
• Pursue and collect rent, assist with delinquencies and filings.
• Investigate complaints and resolve issues per rules and regulations.
• Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident data and coordinate with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and Fair Housing.
