Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to support leasing operations at our Conway, SC property. You will provide high-quality customer service, assist with front desk duties, and help achieve 100% occupancy through resident retention, current leases, and future availability.

The role requires enrollment in a degree program (minimum 6 credits), at least one year of college completed, a 2.5 GPA, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college or university.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average; GPA verified annually.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of the community.
• Must live on designated community floor, per guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week.
• Available evenings and weekends.
• Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service and ensure Cardinal customers are satisfied.
• Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training.
• Greet prospective clients warmly and handle leasing conversations.
• Present the community and apartment homes professionally.
• Utilize feature/benefit selling and close the sale.
• Follow up with prospects and complete lease applications and paperwork.
• Pass third party leasing shops and become certified in Cardinal Way of Leasing.
• Maintain lease file documentation and participate in audits.
• Maintain cleanliness of the tour path and project a positive attitude.
• Assist with planning community events and other projects.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
• On-call responsibilities and work evenings and weekends.
