Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies in Morgantown, WV is seeking a Leasing Community Intern (Temporary, Non-Exempt) to deliver high quality resident service. This role supports leasing efforts, greets visitors, and assists with front-desk tasks across evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities include processing lease applications, maintaining accurate files, participating in Cardinal Way of Leasing training, and helping plan community events while upholding Cardinal values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in a degree program with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled college or university.
• Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA; GPA verified annually.
• Must be a current or future leaseholder of community and live on designated floor.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and have a valid driver’s license.
• Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week; evenings and weekends.
• Must embody Cardinal Culture and Core Values daily.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied.
• Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
• Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required.
• Greet prospective clients, answer leasing calls, determine needs, present the community and apartments, and close the sale.
• Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork; pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
• Maintain accurate lease file documentation and participate in lease file audits.
• Keep the tour path clean to ensure a positive first impression of the community.
• Support planning of community events and assist with additional projects as assigned.
• Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
• On-call responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds, etc.)
• Evening and weekend availability.
