Job summary

Apache Corporation is seeking a Lease Operator II for its US Onshore Operations in Texas. You will monitor produced wells, measure daily production, prepare reports, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot equipment, maintain records, and support production optimization. A strong background in oil and gas operations and proficiency with PC software are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 8 years related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications and other PC-based computer applications
• Ability to anticipate and recognize problems, then develop solutions with minimal coaching
• Ensures accuracy of all reports
• Familiarity with lease equipment and functions
• Adequate knowledge to identify downhole problems
• Medium physical work
• Occasionally lift 10–100 pounds; occasionally squat, crawl, climb
• Frequent bending and working around moving machinery

Responsibilities

• Provide lease surveillance of Apache-operated properties to maximize production
• Accurately measure and report daily production
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports
• Inspect facilities for safety and environmental compliance
• Perform well tests and calculate downhole pump efficiency
• Gauge production tanks daily
• Troubleshoot and repair day-to-day operational issues
• Review amp readings to balance pump units
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by all personnel
• Develop opportunities to optimize production
• Attend safety meetings
• Report safety and environmental incidents
