Job summary

Apache Corporation is seeking a Lease Operator II for its US Onshore Operations. You will monitor Apache-operated properties, measure daily production, and prepare reports. The role emphasizes safety, environmental compliance, and efficient operation of lease equipment.

You will routinely inspect facilities, perform downhole checks, and coordinate with contractors to maintain safe, productive oil wells. Reporting to the Foreman, you will develop ideas to improve production, track property goals

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 8 years related experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications and other PC-based computer applications.
• Ability to anticipate and recognize problems, then develop solutions with minimal coaching.
• Ensures accuracy of all reports.
• Familiarity of all lease equipment and functions.
• Adequate knowledge to identify downhole problems.
• Medium physical work.
• Occasionally may lift 10-100 pounds.
• Occasionally may squat, crawl or climb.

Responsibilities

• Provide lease surveillance of Apache-operated properties to maximize production safely.
• Accurately measure and report daily production.
• Prepare daily and monthly production reports.
• Inspect facilities for safety and environmental compliance.
• Maintain and read gauges, perform well tests, and calculate pump efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and repair day-to-day operational issues.
• Review readings to balance pump units and verify equipment operates correctly.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by contractors and Apache personnel.
• Develop ways to optimize production and profitability.
