Job summary

Apache Corporation is seeking a Lease Operator Sr to supervise contractors during new-well completions and workovers, ensuring safe and efficient operations across leases. You will coordinate onsite activities, monitor production metrics, and perform essential maintenance tasks to maximize daily production.

The role requires a high school diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong safety, writing, and math skills, and proficiency in PC-based applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 10+ years of relevant oil and gas experience.
• Knowledge of safe oil & gas production operations.
• Interest in engineering principles and subsurface/surface equipment knowledge.
• Ability to perform basic math, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and maintain good safety and driving record.
• Proficiency with PC-based computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Gauge production on assigned wells and report readings to district office.
• Perform lease maintenance and basic repairs; trim weeds and clean up areas.
• Note problems and suggest corrective actions to reduce costs and increase production.
• Witness meter calibrations, monitor rates/pressures, and test safety systems daily.
• Assist with downhole pump changes and pump/compressor maintenance.
• Ensure safe and environmentally secure operation of wells and leases.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor for the geographic area.
