Job summary

Cable One, Sparklight/Cableone family, is seeking a Lease Accounting Accountant to maintain ASC 842 schedules and support accurate, timely reporting across the organization. You will own end-to-end lease accounting processes, manage related journal entries, reconcile balances, and contribute to internal controls that support external reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of one year of general ledger accounting experience.
• ASC 842 lease accounting experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process and related controls.
• Prepares analyses and journal entries for lease accounting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special analyses as requested by leadership.
• Monitors changes in accounting standards and assesses impact on reporting.
