Cable One Inc. is seeking a dedicated Lease Accountant to maintain ASC 842 lease schedules and support the company’s financial reporting. You will work with accounting leadership to ensure accurate balance sheet presentation and timely journal entries.

The role involves coordinating with audit teams, staying updated on accounting standards, and contributing to process improvements within the lease accounting function.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; minimum one year general ledger accounting experience, preferably in public or corporate accounting.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops understanding of end-to-end lease accounting processes, stakeholders, systems, and internal controls for reporting.
• Prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries for lease accounting.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB, SEC, and PCAOB standards affecting accounting practices.
