Job summary

Radford University is seeking a Talent Development Specialist to design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs that strengthen leadership, employee capability, and organizational performance. You will partner with HR and subject-matter experts to align training with university priorities.

Responsibilities include onboarding and leadership development, delivering sessions in classroom and online formats, tracking participation, and evaluating impact using feedback and performance data.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field, and/or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in talent development or HR functions.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering training programs in a professional/organizational setting.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience using learning management systems (LMS) and training development tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Project management or process-improvement experience related to HR or organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop training materials and facilitate learning experiences in classroom, virtual, and self-paced formats.
• Deliver onboarding, required training, leadership development, coaching, mentoring, and other professional programs.
• Identify development needs, assess skill gaps, develop materials, track participation, and evaluate program effectiveness using feedback and performance data.
• Partner with HR, leaders, and subject-matter experts to support learning solutions aligned with organizational needs.
• Provide operational and administrative support including records management, LMS maintenance, and training documentation; support compliance activities and HR projects.
