Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking an Instructional Designer to own learning projects from ground up. You will craft engaging learning experiences, e-learning, workshops, and onboarding resources, collaborating with SMEs and PMs to ensure high-quality content.

The role supports associates at various career stages, building curricula, learning paths, and assessment materials, while maintaining design standards across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in instructional design, education, or related field.
• Experience designing learning content, materials, curricula, or e-learning.
• Knowledge of instructional design, adult learning, objectives, assessment, and evaluation.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation-design skills.
• Experience creating learner-facing materials, facilitator guides, and assessments.
• Experience with a learning management system (LMS).
• Experience using Articulate 360 or similar tools.
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in teams.
• Experience in construction, engineering, PM, or technical learning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear learning objectives, curricula, and engaging experiences.
• Design and develop e-learning, workshops, job aids, activities, assessments, and materials.
• Develop curricula, learning paths, onboarding resources, and LMS content.
• Create practice opportunities, scenarios, checks, and assessments for application.
• Partner with SMEs, PMs, L&D Specialists, and stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
• Own instructional design quality, structure, and consistency of learning materials.
• Support SME-led sessions with defined materials and content application.
• Revise materials based on feedback, evaluation results, and changing needs.
• Maintain design standards, templates, documentation, and version control.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong organization and communication.
