Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of administrative support, office coordination, customer service, or program support experience; or an associate degree and one year of related experience; or a bachelor’s degree.
  • One (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office applications, email, web-based systems, and electronic databases or records-management systems.
  • One (1) year of experience organizing information, coordinating schedules or services, and managing multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • One (1) year of experience handling confidential or sensitive information and following established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and provide respectful, student- or client-centered service to individuals from varied backgrounds.
  • Ability to learn and apply disability accommodation procedures, testing protocols, university systems, and relevant federal and institutional requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, recognize situations requiring supervisory consultation, and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assistive technology, accessibility services, and testing resources, including alternative-format instructional materials, accessibility tools, and faculty consultation on accessible instructional and testing practices.
  • Coordinate and implement approved disability accommodations and testing services by conducting student intakes, evaluating documentation, determining standard accommodations, maintaining accommodation records, scheduling exams, and ensuring testing security and compliance.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate student employees while overseeing the daily operations of the Learning Center, Disability Services Office/Assistive Technology Lab, and Testing Center and improving operational workflows.
  • Manage administrative operations, including purchasing, procurement card reconciliation, invoice processing, inventory management, equipment tracking, technology planning, and development of office procedures and operational systems.
  • Develop and maintain informational materials, website content, and training resources, and provide workshops and presentations on disability services, assistive technology, and accessibility resources.
  • Perform other program support and administrative duties as assigned to support the effective operation of the Learning Center.
