Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a Testing and Assistive Technology Coordinator to manage the university's Testing Center and oversee assistive technology for students with disabilities. You will coordinate testing accommodations, supervise proctors, and train students on accessibility software and devices.

Role supports access to exams and materials across undergraduate, graduate, and flex programs, while ensuring compliance with FERPA and ADA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in higher education or working with college students is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Sensitivity to the needs of developmental students and first-generation college students.
• Ability to develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of assistive technology software/hardware such as NVDA, Genio, Speechify.
• General knowledge of Section 504, ADA, and WCAG guidelines.
• Proficient Google Suite skills.
• Strong troubleshooting and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to the university mission.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the Testing Center and manage supplies and equipment.
• Recruit, select, train, and supervise proctors for the Testing Center.
• Set up testing appointments using WCOnline and coordinate with faculty.
• Communicate with faculty about testing materials delivery and return.
• Coordinate and proctor testing accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Monitor academic honesty and testing integrity in the Center.
• Provide training on assistive technology for students and staff.
• Maintain records of accommodation requests and testing materials.
