Standard Forged Products, LLC in Pittsburgh is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process optimization across the steel foundry. You will implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance throughput, reduce cycle times, and lower costs.

As a key member of the team, you will lead 5S/Kaizen events, analyze data with Minitab/Power BI, and partner with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering to sustain gains.

Formación

• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies in manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzing current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and enhance efficiency.
• Lead Lean initiatives such as value stream mapping, 5S, and Kaizen events.
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to analyze data, define problems, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret production data; prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through material efficiency, energy optimization, and labor utilization improvements.
• Deliver training and guidance on continuous improvement tools to staff at all levels.
• Investigate quality issues and process deviations using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone diagrams, and FMEA.
• Collaborate on initiatives to reduce environmental impact and energy use in foundry operations.
