Job summary

FerroWorks, with facilities in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive process optimization across the steel foundry operations. You will apply Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other tools to boost quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and cross-functional collaboration to identify and implement sustainable improvements, training staff, and reducing waste and energy

Qualifications

• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma initiatives; internship acceptable.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with statistical tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies and waste.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve throughput and reduce cycle times.
• Lead Lean initiatives (value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen events).
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to analyze data and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to drive improvements.
