Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee the Inspection Center, directing a lean, high‑volume operation with 5+ leads and up to 70 associates. You will drive continuous improvement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor staff, manage training and certification, and ensure adherence to safety standards. A dynamic leader with strong communication and problem‑solving skills is essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligning with the company.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that promotes communication, team cohesion and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff and associates.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates.
• Assist with production planning and capacity management.
• Ensure health, safety and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision to the reconditioning team to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production, and cost objectives with the team.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
