Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise an Inspection Center team, directing up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. You will ensure quality, production, and cost objectives while promoting continuous improvement and Carvana’s values.

You’ll mentor leads, manage daily operations, coordinate production planning, and drive safety and training programs. Visa sponsorship is not offered; candidates must meet the requirements listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must have a valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that promotes communication, team cohesion, and Carvana’s Values.
• Maintain supervisory staff through recruitment, orientation, and training.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with production planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention guidelines are followed.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team toward performance metrics.
• Engage the team to achieve quality, production, and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
