Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Supervisory Manager for the Inspection Center to oversee a team of leads and up to 70 front-line associates in a lean manufacturing environment. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure quality and safety, and align operations with company goals.

The role requires 5+ years in automotive or lean manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor staff, develop plans, and maintain capacity to meet production targets. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to meet project deliverables and metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with clean driving record in last 3 years.
• Ability to maintain high volume, high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results.
• Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime and on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with the company's goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that fosters communication and team cohesion.
• Maintain supervisory staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Ensure progression path training and certification processes are executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with feedback.
• Ensure capacity planning and production scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team to meet metrics.
• Reinforce quality, production and cost objectives with the team.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
