Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a manufacturing supervisor to lead assigned production areas, including Shipping and Receiving, driving Daily Management, problem solving and Kaizen to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

You will mentor hourly associates, coordinate with HR, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering, and ensure labor and capacity align with demand forecasts while upholding union contract guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of leadership experience expected, front line supervision preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree or 4 to 6 years of related experience in manufacturing required.
• Knowledge of Toyota Production System or Danaher Business System preferred.
• Solid data analysis and reporting skills demonstrated.
• Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; basic financial concepts understood.
• Relevant experience in materials-related functions such as procurement/planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead hourly associates and manage daily attendance, vacation planning, supplies, and production planning.
• Respond to safety incidences with containment and root-cause investigations.
• Meet performance targets within union contracts and HR/EH&S policies.
• Collaborate with HR to resolve grievances and enforce policy; address quality issues.
• Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering on containment and root-cause actions.
• Oversee shipping/receiving to meet schedules and ensure accuracy of shipments.
