Job summary

Synergy Flavors is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 1st shift at our Chicago onsite facility. You will manage a team of production employees, direct workflow to meet customer orders, and implement LEAN manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include planning material flow, scheduling with ERP, hiring and training staff, and maintaining safety, quality, and cost metrics.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s preferred in Supply Chain/Production Management.
• Three years of production experience; food manufacturing preferred or equivalent.
• Practical experience with LEAN manufacturing principles and ability to read safety rules and operation manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively with groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level leadership and coaching to the production team.
• Plan material flow, analyze work orders, assign labor and create schedules.
• Collaborate across departments to meet customer deadlines and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead safety, quality, and cost initiatives and maintain production records.
• Interview, hire and train employees; manage performance and development.
• Operate ERP system to track orders and resolve inventory issues.
