Job summary

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Production Management or related field with 3 years production experience (food manufacturing preferred).
Practical experience with LEAN manufacturing principles.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

Provide first level leadership with coaching and direction to the manufacturing team.
Plan material flow and assign labor; create equipment operating schedules to meet internal and external needs.
Sustain relationships to foster problem solving and continuous improvement using LEAN principles.
Suggest changes to increase production efficiency and throughput.
Collaborate across production teams, maintenance, planning, quality control, accounting and R&D.
