Job summary

Synergy Flavors, part of the Carbery Group, is a leading international supplier to the global food and beverage industry. The Production Supervisor will lead a 2nd shift team (2pm - 10:30pm) on site at Morgan Street, Chicago, to meet customer deadlines and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 3 years’ production experience, with LEAN manufacturing knowledge and strong communications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Production Management preferred.
• 3 years production experience in a manufacturing environment desired (food manufacturing preferred).
• Practical experience with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence; proficient with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level leadership, coaching and direction to the manufacturing team.
• Plan materials flow and schedule labor and equipment to meet customer orders.
• Foster problem solving and continuous improvement using LEAN principles.
• Interoperate across maintenance, planning, quality control, accounting and R&D for improvements.
