Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. in Chicago is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a team, manage workflow, and ensure on-time completion of customer orders.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, planning materials, coordinating with maintenance and QA, implementing LEAN improvements, and maintaining safety, quality, and production metrics. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; 3 years of production experience and strong computer literacy are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3 years of production experience desirable; food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Practical experience with LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a production team and provide coaching and direction.
• Plan material flow and assign labor to meet orders.
• Coordinate with maintenance, planning, quality and R&D.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance and document production.
