Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to supervise a team in a Carvana Inspection Center. You will oversee daily operations, mentor leads and associates, and drive continuous improvement to meet quality, production, and cost goals.

Responsibilities include staff development, capacity planning, and adherence to safety standards. The role requires a strong background in lean manufacturing and a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Proven ability to achieve project deliverables and company metrics.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Provide mentoring and accountability to direct reports and succession planning through coaching, leadership development and training.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic plans aligned with company goals.
• Ensure adherence to operating standards, policies and performance standards.
• Create a work environment that fosters communication, team cohesion and Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Ensure training and certification processes are consistently executed.
• Train and mentor leads and associates with competency-based feedback.
• Ensure adequate production capacity and assist with planning.
• Comply with health, safety and loss prevention guidelines.
• Provide vision and guidance to meet performance metrics.
• Reinforce and engage the team regarding quality, production and cost objectives.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
